Ahh! It’s been a long time since I’ve really made anything digitally.
Woohoo, I finished it quickly! Here’s the sketch and the final piece. I’m very happy with it. I’m getting better at placing facial features, I think. The background was so much fun. It took me fifteen minutes. I’m learning to make my lines smoother and cleaner. I also had to be soft in applying the shades, especially on her skin and sweater. I had to lower the density of my brush and sometimes play around with the blend setting.
When I was constructing the sketch, I had a little trouble. I had to redraw it a few times before ending up with something good. Tilting her shoulders and hips in opposite directions helped. I really like the angle of her head too.
I’m definitely not an expert of human proportions, but I felt pretty comfortable eyeballing it. I used my ruler here and there.

A little more improvement. This is Sylvia, my OC, again. I keep changing her appearance, but I’m closer to what I want her to look like. She’s showing more of her personality in this sketch, so I’m really glad.
Another gift! I’ve never painted or drawn a falcon before. It took me a few hours of sketching and studying to get it decent looking. I kinda really gave up on painting it, though. But the messiness doesn’t look too bad, so whatevs.
I don’t really know what I’ve done over the past few months. The days are blurring together. I’ve sketched a lot. That’s about it, I think. I’m not on Paint Tool Sai as much anymore, but I’ll try more since it’s summer. Middle of summer actually….whoa. What is time??? Sorry I’m babbling.
Coming up next:
So I’m working on a birthday present for my friend and I might do something with that Sylvia sketch. I’d like to make something to go along with summer. That’d be nice. Until next time! (Which might take a long time)
Hello, it’s been a while. That’s because I was working on this.
This is based on the movie Tangled. There was a part in the movie where Rapunzel was sitting in the river with water lilies, so that’s why I painted the above. I tried making the setting more secluded, but I had trouble. Oh well, I had fun painting her.
The background, though, was not fun. I don’t have much practice with backgrounds, so most of it was just experimentation. But I’m glad I didn’t throw this away. I at least made something, and it isn’t even that bad. (I just wish I knew how to fix it.)
So…whoa. I found some new brush settings and I gotta say that I like them a lot.
I made this for “Jackunzel” Week, Day One theme: Once in a Blue moon (rare event.) When I thought of them putting on shoes together, I almost cried. And I’m really glad it turned out so nice! There are more themes for the rest of the week, but I don’t think I’ll make any more. I’ve got so many other drawings to make!
(I should’ve spent more time on the hands grrrr)
I made this this morning for another lovely friend of mine.
Starting May 1st, I’m going to try to take part in one maybe two fan art weeks on Tumblr, so I’ll be posting the stuff I make here as well as my tumblr blog. The first week is for Jack Frost and Rapunzel. Second week is for Merida and Hiccup. Oh, crossovers. I didn’t like it at first, but I’m starting to now. I feel bad for Eugene.
